The purpose of the monthly occupancy survey is to estimate the levels of occupancy for tourist accommodation within the region including Houses, Flats, Cottages, Chalets, Cabins and Lodges. The data collected can then be used to estimate future trends.

A regional summary is produced showing occupancy levels by the region, county, district, location, tariff, size and type of establishment.
