The caravan and camping occupancy survey is run on a monthly basis throughout the summer season and forms part of a national scheme called the United Kingdom Occupancy Survey.
The purpose of the occupancy survey is to estimate the levels of occupancy for tourist accommodation within the region including touring sites, camp sites or a mixture of both. A regional summary is produced showing occupancy levels by the region, county, district, location, tariff, size and type of establishment, allowing caravan and camp sites the ability to benchmark their own performance against other similar sites, which is a valuable business performance tool.
The monthly occupancy forms may now be completed via e-mail or post. If you would like to find out more about participating, please email research@ytb.org.uk or telephone 01904 773331 for more information.
